Adam joined Basin Engineering in March of 2022 after working in drilling and production engineering roles at Devon Energy and Citation Oil and Gas. He started his career as a Field Drilling Engineer at Devon Energy.
His experience includes a diverse background of drilling wells in Western & Northern Oklahoma, North Texas, Powder River Basin, Wind River Basin, and Delaware Basin, and overseeing producing wells in Southern Oklahoma.
Adam served as a member on both the Asset and Execution teams at Devon developing properties on BLM acreage in both Wyoming and New Mexico. He focused on long-term project engineering with impacts to torque and drag, casing design, project timing, and overall economics.
During his time as a production engineer Adam supervised a diverse set of wells ranging from 12,000’ TVD gas wells to 2,000’ TVD nitrogen flood units. Adam has artificial lift experience in rod pumps, progressive cavity pumps, ESPs, plunger lift, and gas lift. While managing waterflood units, Adam oversaw projects to RTP and RTI wells shut in for multiple decades through workovers that included perforating new zones, cement squeezing swept zones, and increasing injectivity by acidizing and isolating zones with packers and injection mandrels.
Adam graduated from the University of Oklahoma with a Bachelor of Science in Petroleum Engineering in 2012. Adam and his family reside in Edmond, Oklahoma.
